In today's highly competitive market environment, the pressure continues to increase, has become an important factor affecting the overall effectiveness of the organization. And the leadership style as an important factor affecting employee's perception of role stress, has little research on the relationship between the leadership style and role stress, and there are inconsistent conclusions of the situation. Therefore, this study based on the previous domestic and foreign related research, takes the concrete role stress as the result variable, discusses the influence relationship between the empowering leadership and the employee's role stress, and introduces the locus of control as the moderating variables, and analyzes its role in this process of the relationship.Through the analysis of 207 valid questionnaires collected, the results show that:For the three kinds of role stress(role ambiguity, role conflict and role overload),empowering leadership can significantly reduce role ambiguity perception, but will increase the employee's role conflict and role overload,Second,Employee's locus of control can significantly affect the relationship between empowering leadership and role stress: Internal control staff in the perception of the same level of authorized leadership style will have a higher level of role conflict and role overload, but also reduce the role ambiguity. Finally,It puts forward some suggestions on the pressure management of the staff, and discussed the limitations and future research directions in this study.
