The Analysis Of The Effect Of Smart Industry On Urbanization:Theorical And Empirical Analysis

Urbanization is an topic with vital force.With the changes of economic and social development,the concept of urbanization is constantly enrich and perfect.China has made great progress depending on years of rapid urbanization.The rate of demographic urbanization has reached 56%.However,the rapid urbanization triggered a series of negative effects which has impeded China's sustainable development.In order to crack the development bottleneck,China put forward the "new urbanization",developing a richer connotation of urbanization.Meanwhile the idea,”Smart City” comes with the progress of global science and technology and the maturity of a new generation of information technology.The mobile Internet,cloud computing and big data gradually began to apply to all areas of economy and society.Smart construction is taken as an important fulcrum to crack the bottleneck of global development.China also takes it as the sally port of the new urbanization.However,country's construction can not be separated from the support of industry.The smart industry which derives from smart construction,has already often appeared in the government documents.Depending on a new generation of information technology,the smart industry is a new generation of high-tech industry with highly information,digitization,intellectualization and comprehensive perception.It is the product of ever-changing information technology.The smart industry is bound to become one of the extremely important emerging force to affect China's future urbanization.Therefore,this article firstly combs the related literature at home and abroad,describes the different influence factors of urbanization and the literature of studying the smart industry,clarifies the connotation of smart industry and urbanization.Then,this paper explores the three paths how the smart industry exert an impact on urbanization from the analysis of literature and understanding of the connotations.The smart industry affects urbanization through pushing economic development,informationization and technological innovation.And then this paper analyzes and describes the status quo of China's smart industry and urbanization.Later,constructingthe comprehensive index system to measure urbanization from the five aspects of economy,population,ecology,society and life.Then the paper calculated the comprehensive level of urbanization in the east,middle and west regions by using the entropy method.The result shows that the urbanization level of the east region is much higher than that of the middle and west regions.After that,by using the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2005 to 2014 to construct a fixed effect model for empirical analysis,it is concluded that the influence of the smart industry on the level of urbanization is significant at the national level.From the regional level,the influence of the smart industry on urbanization has obvious regional differences.In the east and middle regions,the smart industry have significant and positive effect on their urbanization,while the effect is not remarkable in the west.Finally,this paper puts forward the five politic suggestions:formulating the development strategy basing on the conditions of three regions,taking the state-led policy to develop the smart industry,strengthening the construction of urban information infrastructure,establishing the smart industrial park and encouraging technological innovation.
