A Study On The Spillover Effect Of Economic Growth Among City Regions Of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei

In an open economic system,the economy development in a region depends not only on the internal conditions of this region,but also the related promotion of the economy increase in other regions surrounded.As the economy develops fast in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,the economy gap in different regions is becoming more and more distinctive and the spatial correlation of regional economic development cannot be overlooked.As a result,the study on the spatial correlation of regional economic development has an important theoretical and practical significance on the policy-making of the regional economic development and the direction-determination of the regional economic direction.Based on the overview of the related theories of the spillover effect of regional economic increase and the empirical study,this thesis analyzes the current conditions of the economic development in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei in the following aspects: gross regional production,human capital,investment level and the technology development.Then the ESDA is applied to study the spatial cluster and the spatial correlation of the regional economic increase in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.The thesis constructs ordinary Econometric Model and spatial Econometric Model to make empirical analysis and comparison based on2000-2013 panel data.Besides,the thesis adopts the spatial econometric model to further measure the spatial spillover effect of the regional economic increase in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.It can be concluded from the study that the regional economic increase in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei has obvious spatial cluster: Beijing,Tianjin and Tangshan are main clustering centers and have positive spillover effect on the surrounding regions;Shi Jiazhuang and Baoding are sub-clustering centers and have negative spillover effect on the surrounding regions;the two clustering centers above have positive effect on each other;regions of Handan,Xingtai,Hengshui,Zhang Jiakou,Chengde and Cangzhou do not have obvious spillover effect on each other.According to the results of the study above,this thesis comes up with relevant proposals and advice in the following aspects in order to narrow the regional gaps and promote the economic collaborative development in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei: labor mobility,transportation construction,the distribution of educational and medical resources,financial market perfection and the transferring and undertaking of industries,etc.
