With the development of science and information technology, especially the rapid development of transportation and communication technology, the trade cost based on the distance is reduced indeed, but even in the economic globalization and regional economic integration today, international trade is still subject to trade cost problems,it should not and can not be ignored.According to a large number of previous study,we can also see that trade costs contribute to economic analysis,so trade cost plays an important role in the analysis of international trade theory and policy. The development of agricultural products trade related to the people's livelihood and social stability, therefore,it has been paid much attention all over the world,China is a big agricultural country, the development momentum of the foreign trade of agricultural products has obtained worldwide attention. At the same time, due to the special nature of agricultural products, the trade cost is higher than other products, which also shows that the trade cost of agricultural products in China will have a greater decline, and reflects the larger development potential of agricultural trade. In recent years,China regards “Silk Road Economic Belt,The Belt and Road”initiative as the development opportunity, making great efforts to facilitate trade with the neighboring countries, carrying out all-round division of labor and cooperationand with through “Silk Road Economic Belt”,and agricultural product trade is one of the vital fields, therefore to study on the bilateral trade costs of agricultural products between China and the major countries along "Silk Road Economic Belt" has a significant impact on the bilateral agricultural trade. From the perspective of the trade costs of agricultural products and in the backdrop of “Silk Road Economic Belt” initiative, analyzing the characteristics of economic development and agricultural trade relations between China and the 20 countries along “Silk Road Economic Belt”.We use the model of Novy(2013)to calculate the trade costs of agricultural products and its changes between China and other twenty main countries that belong to “Silk Road Economic Belt” area from2003 to 2014.The results show that bilateral agricultural trade costs between China and the main countries along the "Silk Road Economic Belt" has greater differences. The trade costs with Germany,Poland and France are smaller, compared with those of Croatia,Jordan and Greece.Among them, the trade costs of agricultural products between China and Bangladesh,Poland and Germany all have a larger extent of decline, compared with 2003,their bilateral costs of agricultural trade decreased by76.55%,47.35%,44.87% respectively. Then, using the traditional gravity model to construct the regression equation, and using the STATA14 software to analyze the influencing factors of bilateral agricultural trade costs. The full sample empirical results show that the institution of trading partners, and the signature of regional tradeagreement between China and its trade partners, trading partners' utilization of Internet all have negative correlations with bilateral agricultural trade costs, however, the per capita GDP gap between two countries has positive correlations with it,the impact extents from top to bottom. In the sub sample regression, among the factors affecting the trade cost of agricultural products between China and more hinghly developed countries, the symbol of the geographic distance between two parties is not in conformity with the full sample analysisin, the institution of trading partners, and the signature of regional trade agreement between China and its trade partners, the per capita GDP gap between two countries, and trading partners' utilization of Internet all have significant influence on the bilateral costs of agricultural products trade, the impact extents from top to bottom. When analyzing the influence factor of bilateral costs of agricultural products trade between China and developing countries,it is found that the symbol of the trading partner's institution is inconsistent with expectation, and is contrary to the full sample result.Only the geographic distance between the two countries, trading partners' utilization of Internet and the per capita GDP gap between China and its trade partners have a significant impact on the bilateral trade costs of agricultural products, and the impact extents is from top to bottom. Finally,on the basis of the statistical results and empirical analysis,we put forward relevant policy suggestions.
