The constant expansion of the city scale and the continuous increase of the population have caused serious urban traffic problems.More and more countries recognize that the construction of efficient public transport system is one of the most effective way to improve urban traffic conditions.In recent years,the construction and development of rail transit has brought new vitality to the urban public transportation and makes the urban public transport system present the multi-level structural characteristics.However,it is bound to bring some impact to the conventional bus system.At this time,a scientific method for the evaluation of the bus network along the rail transit is of great significance to grasp the current status of the bus network,reorient and adjust the conventional bus network,realize the convergence and coordination between rail transit and conventional bus,improve the operation efficiency of the public transport system and promote the attractiveness of the public traffic passenger flow.First of all,this paper makes analyses on current situation of rail transit and bus network and the travel characteristics of residents along the rail transit.After the opening of rail transit,bus services have not changed and the competition between rail transit and conventional bus is fiercer.Also,public transport of low convergence efficiency and poor service level has resulted in the overall lack of public transport attractiveness.Then,put forward purposes of the evaluation of bus network along the rail transit.Ten evaluation indices are selected from three aspects including its own rationality,competition and cooperation with rail transit to build the evaluation index set.TransCAD is used as the experimental and development platform to calculate indicators.Next,the unascertained measurement model is selected as the evaluation model.The unascertained measurement function of every assessment index is obtained and the index weight is determined by information entropy theory and analytic hierarchy process.Grade judgment is conducted according to confidence recognition criteria.This model realizes the comprehensive evaluation on bus network along the rail transit.Finally,this paper puts forward optimization targets based on the evaluation results: to reduce transfer time and improve convergence and coordination,to add line crossover factor and provide more efficient transference service,to improve rail transit's share of passenger flow in public transportation and change the competitive situation with conventional bus transport.According to the different adjustment objectives,the corresponding adjustment strategy of bus network optimization is put forward.What's more,the specific adjustment measures and programs are proposed.And the gray relational analysis method is used to evaluate the rationality of the optimal adjustment.This paper clarifies a set of evaluation method for bus network along the rail transit with “the current situation research-proposing the purpose of evaluation-constructing the evaluation index set-establishing the evaluation model-making and testing the optimization and adjustment plan” which is finally applied to the study of bus network evaluation along Suzhou Line 1.The evaluation work of bus network is taken as the technical prerequisite,which provides the basis for the subsequent optimization and adjustment research.As a result,the bus network optimization program promotes the overall development of public transport system.The research of this paper can provide an important reference for public transportation system planning and public transportation network optimization along the rail transit and will play a positive role in accelerating the construction of a high-efficiency,high-service urban integrated public transport system.
