At present,China's major cities are in high speed development period of industrialization,urbanization and motorization,resulting in increasingly contradiction among the development of transportation and the limited bearing capacity of city resources and fragile ecological environment.Meanwhile,the contradiction between the growth of public traffic demand and the traffic supply and environmental capacity which urban land resources can offer is constantly increasing.With public travel modes tend to be convenient,comfort and efficient,the historical period is an important period for the transformation of travel mode.In recent years,responding to the call of relevant national departments and their policies,China is setting about a major development of urban rail transit.Large capacity with low energy consumption and pollution can not only solve the urban traffic pressure,drive the development of land,integrate optimization of urban structure,but also can adjust urban residents travel mode,optimize the workers commuting time.It is really a timely appropriate solution.Rail transit line network planning and infrastructure will be the future focus direction of the city traffic.Since December 28,2005,with the construction of Chengdu subway line 1,the information such as line planning,location of platforms and names of platforms is always the hot topic among citizens,this information is closely linked with urban rail transit planning department.In this paper,the Chengdu city urban rail transit planning and the present situation of research on local planning department mature urban functional partition,residents travel demand,take the present the Union jack-shaped subway network as a case study,adjust measures to local conditions puts forward some constructive stronger measures,embodies the practical value and significance of the study,and by summing up its unique experience to other proposed rail transit cities in China thought that the similar confusion.Rail transit network layout and planning of residents travel congestion problem solved,to find a suitable for Chengdu city development planning and the peak passenger corridor of rail transportation solution,puts forward on how to effectively planning urban rail traffic trunk network layout to alleviate the pressure of the residents travel reference and revelation of the problem.Finally,the problem is summed up in Chengdu city.Combining with government administration,urban planning,information communication and transportationengineering and other multi-disciplinary knowledge,and the author's actual survey and private visit,targeted to the Union jack-shaped rail transit network planning of Chengdu on demand investigation mechanism,information linkage mechanism and government mechanism and so on to make analysis,focuses on rail traffic planning model and operation management of the actual cases.This will effectively coordinate the formulation of a series of forward rail traffic planning of Chengdu as well as more than30 large and medium-sized domestic urban rail transit planning and effective implementation of,has a certain practical and innovative,is a beneficial attempt.
