Chinese seamless steel pipe enterprises are facing piercing competition for exporting under the circumstance of the capacity expansion,the international financial crisis and the sub-prime crisis,anti-dumping and countervailing international trade friction.Hengyang Valin Steel Tube Co.Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as HYST)exports encountered a difficult situation hitherto unknown,price war is among all the steel mills.As one of the Chinese seamless steel tube industry leader,HYST export business is not only has more than 50%of exports and output ratio,also has a worldwide marketing network layout and more than 70 people in international trade marketing team.Although 20 years to stride forward with impressive achievements,but in recent years the grim international economic environment leads to the seamless steel pipe of the greatest demand for oil and gas industry downturn,resulting in seamless steel demand fell sharply;Chinese domestic seamless steel pipe production capacity serious surplus,the total production capacity of 45 million tons in the face of domestic consumption is only 26 million tons,which means there are 19 million tons of production capacity to squeeze on the export of a single plank bridge.However,the international market for the China capacity absorption remained at around 6 million tons,13 million tons of production capacity is still no place to release;in the face of overbearing rivals and the international economic environment,the value of steel exports facing difficulties,the high cost of financing,business homogenization and lack of excellent talents in international trade is the most the urgent problem facing us when engaged in the export business,the only way which must be passed from marketing and service aspects of the promotion of export to promote HYST competitive advantage.How’s Hengyang Valin Steel Pipe Co.,Ltd(hereinafter referred to as the HYST)as one of the leading chinese seamless tubes manufacturer to realize it’s develop situation,to find it’s own weak as to the value chain,how to use of overseas trading subsidiaries to develop a viable value chain restructuring strategy to enhance the competitive advantage of enterprises?Therefore,under such environment background,the research of value chain reconfiguration has become an important subject in front of HYST.In summary,this thesis is all about how to use the overseas trading subsidiaries platform to increase competitive advantage in the value chain of marketing and services,how to develop a viable competitive strategy and put into practice,with theory to guide practice,thus Which can provide reference for the construction and utilization of other overseas trading subsidiaries to ensure the competitive advantage and sustainable development.
