The first supermarket of Shenyang appeared in 1992,general merchandise store got a rapidly expansion and Carrefour's appearance makes the development of supermarket at a level of pinnacle in 1999.In recent years,thanks to the ever-growing economy of China,the spatial location of retail industry have changed dramatically.As a main retail formats,the spatial distribution of general merchandise store have important effect on regional economy and urban development.On the basis of domestic and international relevant research and theory,analyzing urban settings,commercial pattern and business circles,using the spatial analysis technology of ArcGIS and related mathematical methods to explores the status and characteristics of the spatial distribution of general merchandise store and evaluate the rationality.Through the above conclusion,summarized the current problems and research on the econometric and calculate analysis of the spatial distribution of general merchandise store in main districts of Shenyang.From the integration of qualitative and quantitative methods can know the influencing factors and the size of any impact of the spatial distribution.Finally,according to the above research,this paper reveals the development trends and tuning recommendations the spatial distribution of general merchandise store in main districts of Shenyang.The results show that the spatial distribution of general merchandise store in the main urban area presents the obvious characteristics of the north rather than south.The general merchandise stores in five municipal districts of Shenyang have been saturated,especially within the Second Ring region.The general merchandise stores in the region of south of Hunhe river and Shenyang suburb have been scarce,which would hindered the comprehensive management of the whole retailing development in Shenyang to some extent.In main districts of Shenyang,the spatial distribution of general merchandise store has relatively obvious characteristics,but its distribution is not balanced in each city area.According to the important degree of order,the main factors are road density,urban residents per capita disposable income,population,per capita total retail sales of social consumer goods,population density,per capita GDP,family households,land prices,regional GDP.According to the business development experience of the developed countries,the general merchandise store in Shenyang is still in the development stage and has the market development space,its overall spatial distribution situation presents the tendency of expansion development.At the same time,according to the law of the development of modern city,the development trend of city spatial structure is generally from the center to the suburb,to reverse transformation and marginalization,the general merchandise store in Shenyang to the outskirts of the city and the new city layout trend.In addition,due to the distribution of general merchandise store in a local area is too concentrated,business district on the average support of the large comprehensive supermarket network is weakened,and the local area of the old city will have a trend of decrease in stores.
