From the end of 20th century to the beginning of 21st century,the threshold of entering manufacturing was sharply declined.But the effect of scale economy is limited,once entrepreneurs cannot further reduce their cost,neither can they raise their profit by traditional methods,these companies were in dilemma.Affected by the economic crisis in 2008,manufacturing investment spent in manufacturing supply chain were reduced sharply.Under this background,some enterprises and groups try to go beyond the traditional thinking limits,to create a broader source of profits,in view of the current general difficulty of manufacturing,main industrial manufacturing countries,such as China,the United States and Germany,has made detailed plans for the future of the industry,transformation from traditional manufacturing enterprises to service-oriented manufacturing is one of the keys.Service-oriented manufacturing mode can expand the coverage of the industry value chain,centralize resources to advantage business,thus let companies in low value-added positions of value chain can create high added value.It can also establish closer contact with consumers,upstream and downstream enterprises at the same time of gain more profit,this also convenient enterprise to get first-hand demand information,adjust their production strategy to follow the market demand changes and firmly seize market share.For the consideration that a service-oriented manufacturing company is still a manufacturing company,we chose to adopt an altered traditional lot sizing model to research it.By added new variable service into traditional lot sizing model,we established a dynamic lot sizing model that can reflect the production and service schedule of a service-oriented manufacturing company.Dynamic lot sizing model in our paper will be restrict by service capacity,in a situation that closer to real life case,we added service time window constraint to our model.There are two main points that are different in our model to the traditional dynamic lot sizing model:first is that manufacturers in our model need to further decide when to supply service to its customers,second is that the ultra-product of manufacturers is product-service system,which is a compound that consists of products and service that assorted to these products.We overviewed and summarized researches of dynamic lot sizing problem and service-oriented mapufacturing all over the world in recent years,innovate traditional dynamic lot sizing model to make it fitful to service-oriented manufacturing,found some properties that the optimal solutions of this new model have,and proposed an algorithm that runs in pseudo-polynomial time to solve this model.Two kinds of solutions of production and service schedule have been investigated in our paper,one is manufacturers supply product-service system to its customers under service capacity constraints,another adds service time window constraint to the former condition,our algorithm can solve these two models in pseudo-polynomial time.And we concluded that the minimal total cost of a service-oriented manufacturer in our paper is positive related to the length of time period,service capacity and service time window.The meaning of our paper is that we have made innovation that let new dynamic lot sizing model can reflect the situation of service-oriented manufacturing,proposed an algorithm to compute the minimal total cost.For manufacturing industry all over the world is transforming into service-oriented manufacturing now,our research will be a supplement to dynamic lot sizing model.The innovations of our research are:new variable named service had been introduced to traditional dynamic lot sizing model,and investigated the properties of optimal solutions of the new model.The deficiencies of our research are:our research of this new manufacturing model is not that detailed because of we lack of supports from theories and real life cases,and many of our conclusions will only be effective under hypothesis in our paper...
