Technological advances make New Technology-Based Firms in the market plays an increasingly important role.At the same time the country attaches great importance to NTBFs of high-tech and high-growth characteristics.But there is the core capacity of the rigid problem in NTBFs,every NTBF can not avoid this problem.The existence of rigidity of core competence has seriously restricted the development of NTBFs.Enterprises confined to their own research areas and ignored the real needs of the external market,the enterprise is not consistent with the actual demand for the product led to the ultimate failure.Therefore,how to help NTBFs to overcome the rigidity of its core competencies has become an immediate and serious problem.From the perspective of legitimacy,this paper explores the concrete impact of core competence rigidities on enterprise business model innovation by introducing legitimacy as an intermediary factor.NTBFs to get rid of the impact of rigid core competencies must be achieved through business model innovation.In the process of innovation,the rigidity of core competence will affect the formation of legitimacy within the enterprise and eventually result in the legitimacy gap.If the legitimacy gap is not managed,the business model innovation of enterprise will fail.Therefore,this paper discusses the rigidity characteristics of each dimension by dividing the dimension of the core competence.Then,the paper analyzes the process of internal legitimacy formation under the influence of core competence rigidity.This paper defines the specific content of the internal legitimacy of the enterprise:cognition,relationship,morality and instrumental judgment.After that,this paper illustrates the influence of the rigidity of core competence on the legitimacy gap of these four aspects.Finally,this paper proposes specific remedial measures to help enterprises get rid of the impact of their rigid core competence.In order to prove the correctness of the above-mentioned viewpoints,this paper chooses Shangyang Technology Company as a case study,and analyzes it in detail.
