The Status Of China's Manufacturing Industry Division Of Labor Based On The Added Value Of Trade Research

Since the 1990 s,the global value chain develops rapidly.China's manufacturing sector relying on the advantage of primary factors of production such as labor and natural resources embed in global value chain system successfully.With the improvement of participation,China has become the world's largest manufacturing power.At the same time,we should soberly realize that although China has been a manufacturing power but not a manufacturing powerhouse.China now is still in the low-end of global value chain.China's manufacturing industry has high export trade but low international division of labor status.Because China's manufacturing exports contain a large number of processing trade.The index of labor status under traditional measure of international division is based on the total number of trade,neglecting rejecting intermediates into the added value of domestic exports.China's total exports are falsely high.Therefore,under the situation of a slow recovery in the world economy,the research based on the added value of trade shows the important meaning.In this paper,based on the input-output table,first calculate the China and other major countries manufacturing exports of value-added.Based on the data of added value,this paper calculates RCA index and GVC index respectively.And using the status of the international division of labor status,auther analys multinational cross-industry data.Finally,based on industry panel data,using generalized least square method and panel quantile regression method,this paper research the influence of capital intensity,total factor productivity,FDI inflows,r&d,human capital,government subsidies and export scale of China's manufacturing industry.The conclusions show that: First,under the perspective of the added value of trade,Chinese manufacturing exports includes a number of values created by other countries.Second,China's manufacturing exports of domestic value added rate is far less than developed countries and its GVC index is on the low side.Third,the measurement results show that improve China's manufacturing capital intensity,total factor productivity,foreign direct investment and industry research and development ability,government's subsidies and human capital level all can improve China's manufacturing industry division of labor status.Expanding the market occupation rate will restrain the status of international division of labor.Among them,the capital intensity has the biggest impact on middle and lower technical department.Technology innovation,R&D and human capital have the largest influence on middle and high technology sector.Fourth,to improve China's manufacturing industry of international division of labor status,this paper puts forward the following countermeasures: Enhancing the research and development of core technology,Increasing the investment of material capital,Improving the investment of human capital and Boosting the quality of foreign direct investment.
