Since the reform and opening up,China has been actively involved in the division of labor in the global industrial chain dominated by western developed countries, and foreign trade once developed rapidly. However,China is still at the middle and low end of the global industrial chain division of labor system, and the international division of labor is relatively low.China's manufacturing industry,as a pillar industry of the national economy,is undergoing a critical period of transformation and development. The existing national policies regard the servitization of manufacturing industry as a direction of manufacturing development.Service added value embodied in exports is one of the indexes to measure the servitization of manufacturing industry. This thesis investigates the influence of service added value embodied in exports on the international division of labor status of China's manufacturing industry.By referring to KWW and KPWW methods studied by Koopman et al.(2008,2010,2012),this thesis used the data of international input-output table from 2000 to 2014 in WIOD database to decompose the export. Then, this thesis calculates gross service added value, and domestic service added value, and foreign service added value embodied in China's manufacturing exports, and uses the international division of labor index to measure the international division of labor status of China's manufacturing industry as a whole or at the industrial level. At the same time, from the overall and sub-technical levels of the manufacturing industry, this thesis describes the change trend of China's manufacturing industry from 2000 to 2014 in the service added value embodied in exports,as well as the change trend of international division of labor participation and international division of labor status. The research results show that,no matter from the level of subdivision of manufacturing industry or from the level of different technical grouping of manufacturing industry, the value of service added value embodied in exports have a positive significant impact on the international division of labor status of manufacturing industry. In addition, this thesis decomposes the service added value embodied in exports into domestic value-added part and foreign value-added part according to the service source. The results show that the domestic service added value embodied in exports have a positive impact on the international division of labor status, while the foreign service added value embodied in exports have a negative impact on the international division of labor status.
