The Relationship Of Human Capital And Industrial Structure Upgrade

Relationship between human capital and industrial structure upgrading has become a research on industrial structure upgrade strategic important issues.Research on the influence of human capital to industrial structure upgrade can not only promote the economic development of Tianjin,But also can create an important reference to other urban development in our country.So,it is necessary to research deeply the strategic significance and internal mechanism of relationship between human capital and industrial structure upgrade in Tianjin.If we know human capital how to promote industrial structure upgrade in Tianjin through research,we can not only enrich the relevant theories of relationship between human capital and industrial structure upgrade,but also help to guide policy makers pay attention to great importance of human capital investment,promote the realization of the Tianjin industrial structure upgrade.The core of human capital index and the main factor is the education index,so we choose average years of the education method to calculate stock of human capital in Tianjin,as the independent variable to measure the relationship between human capital and the industrial upgrading.Based on the related theory of industrial structure upgrading and the basis of reference research results at home and abroad,we decided Index system about upgrading of industrial structure.We selected the quality of regional economic growth,the industrial capital intensity,the growth rate of regional industry,the industry technology intensity,coefficient of industrial structure,industrial added value these six indicators.We used principal component analysis(PCA)method and then Tianjin industrial upgrading comprehensive index is obtained.We used unit root test and GRANGER causality tests verify the causal relationship between human capital and the industrial upgrading in Tianjin.On this basis,we studied the time sequence data in Tianjin by using regression analysis method.Through the theoretical and empirical analysis we can obtain the following conclusions:increasing human capital investment can promote the realization of the upgrading of industrial structure in Tianjin.Tianjin human capital development is the important cause of industrial structure upgrade.And 1%increase in human capital can make industrial structure upgrading index increase 1.96%.So,government should increase human capital investment and improve education investment to promote the upgrading of industrial structure.
