Since 2012,China’s economic growth has shown a downward trend on the whole as a result of the slower overall recovery of the international economic situation,the pressure imposed by the three phase superposition of China’s economy and structural adjustment.The trading volume of China’s cross-border electronic commerce has continued to grow at an alarming rate.Cross-border e-commerce brings dividends for businesses and China has also been aware of the potential of cross-border e-commerce,and introduced relevant support policies.Among them,the most significant one is "opinions on the implementation of policies related to the retail export of cross-border e-commerce" put forward in August 2013.It backs the expansion of cross-border e-business in respect of customs,quality control,taxation,foreign exchange,payment and credit and so on.In a word,cross-border e-commerce plays an important role in foreign trade,and a growing number of provinces,more and more enterprises and industries have come to realize the promise and potential of e-commerce development.The e-commerce grows at an incredible rate in the era of big data and therefore it is very necessary to study the application of cross-border electronic commerce B2B platforms of foreign trade enterprises in Henan province.Several pilot cities have emerged in China and have had significant effects on the other cities and provinces.As a base of heavy industry,Henan province is confronted with opportunities and threats in the face of the expansion of cross-border e-business.How to make full use of the rapid development opportunities of e-business and successfully transform and upgrade foreign trade growth of Henan province has a far-reaching meaning.Vigorous promotion of application of cross-border e-business B2B platforms is undoubtedly a new way out for foreign trade businesses to expand and a new point for sources of economic growth.But what is the level and current situation of the application of e-commerce platform of foreign trade businesses?What hinders them to apply e-business platforms?In what areas should the foreign trade enterprises endeavor themselves to advance the application?The thesis is divided into seven chapters.Chapter one is introduction which includes the background,purpose,methodology,significance and framework of the research.Traditional foreign trade plays an important role in the development of the whole society and economy,but there are many problems that should not be neglected.Compared with the traditional foreign,trade,cross-border e-commerce has less intermediate links,shorter value chain,more flat trading channels so as to reduce the channel cost and use the network to carry out network marketing,which can significantly improve the input-output efficiency and allows enterprises to get more profits.Therefore,various countries and regions have turned their attention to cross-border e-commerce in the hope that it can become a new economic growth point.Chapter two is the literature review.Firstly,it introduces the definition,classification and process of cross-border e-commerce.Secondly,it expounds the research status of cross-border e-commerce at home and abroad.Cross-border e-commerce has started late and therefore there are not so much related literature and less literature about cross-border e-commerce B2B application of foreign trade enterprises in Henan.Chapter three analyzes the current situation of B2B application of cross-border e-commerce exports in Henan:first,the use of B2B platform is dominated by Alibaba.Second,foreign trade personnel operating electronic business platforms accounts for a small percentage.Third,customer source mode does not break the tradition.Fourth,there are several barriers to cross-border e-commerce export business.Chapter four employs the PEST analysis to analyze the political environment,economic environment,social environment and technological environment facing the cross-border e-commerce B2B application of foreign trade enterprises in Henan.Among them,the political environment includes the Belt and Road Initiative and encouragement and guidance to the construction of public overseas warehouses;economic environment includes prominent secondary industry and steady expansion of foreign trade exports;social environment includes consumer demand and high personal goods entry tax;technology environment includes continuously improved cross-border e-commerce platform service and rising level of information technology etc..Chapter five makes use of the SWOT analysis,from the perspectives of strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and threats to expound cross-border e-commerce B2B application of foreign trade enterprises in Henan in a comprehensive,systematic and accurate way.Among them,the strengths of cross-border e-commerce B2B application of foreign trade enterprises in Henan include:first,traffic advantages are obvious;second,industrial base is good;third,modern logistics industry is expanding at an alarming rate.The disadvantages lie in the following aspects:first,the export-oriented economy is weak;second,the social credit system is immature;third,cross-border e-commerce integrated talents are scarce;fourth,the added value of exported products is low;fifth,exports are highly dependent on FOXCONN;sixth,the traditional foreign trade habits are deeply rooted.The opportunities of B2B application of cross-border e-commerce in Henan foreign trade enterprises lies in the following aspects:first,there are the economic opportunities of the rise of central plains in Henan;second,Zhengzhou is one of the first cross-border e-commerce pilot cities;third,local infrastructure continues to improve;fourth,Chinese made products are popular;fifth,local e-commerce platforms are rising.The threats include:first,the lack of cross-border e-commerce talents is serious;second,the market competition is fierce;third,the credit system is imperfect;fourth,product brand awareness is weak.Chapter six sums up the problems in the process of cross-border e-commerce B2B application foreign trade enterprises in Henan,and proposes relevant solutions,namely perfecting supporting services,selecting comprehensive high quality cross-border e-commerce platform,promoting product innovation and brand development,enterprises and universities jointly cultivating talents,increasing the added value the product,creating a good environment for cross-border electricity supplier,and the government strengthening supervision.Chapter seven summarizes the main results of the study and the inadequacies of the study in the hope of helping future research.
