Research On The Employment Effect Of Industrial Upgrading In Yunnan Province

IWith the development of China's overall social reform process,socio-economic development focus has been gradually shifted.The transformation of economic development mode urgent requirement has risen to the national strategic level.As the most important way to this transition,industrial upgrading has been formally proposed by the government work report,and has become the main direction and important task of the current economic development.At the same time,large population,the severe form of employment is the basic national conditions of our country.With the development of industrial upgrading process,the advantages of cheap labor for the creation mode is phasing,employment status of the working-age will inevitably changed.Industrial upgrading and labor employment are two important objectives of national economic development,the combination of both studies,not only can realize the integration of different fields,and can provide theoretical and empirical support for the adjustment of China's economic development under stable employment situation.Yunnan's economic development level lags behind in China,in the development of industrial upgrading is also quite significant representatives,providing a good platform for this study.The study selected Yunnan as example,research two key aspects: Firsts,on the theory of industrial upgrading and labor force were summarized and reviewed,to redefine the concept of industrial upgrading as expand the industrial scale,industrial structure upgrading and industry value chain promotion.Based on the conception,industrial upgrading impact on the labor force employment in three ways;Second,according to paths of thought,based on the situation analysis,establish a empirical decision model which cover's ”macrocosm-structure-micro"three aspects,to do empirical analysis and make reasonable policy recommendations.This paper selects 1978-2015 year time series data of Yannan Province for the sample,establish a empirical decision model covers "macro-meso-micro" levels of industrial upgrading effect of the labor force,according to empirical results the following conclusions: First,the overall effect of the model,shows the industrial output expand have positive effects on employment growth.Second,advanced Industrial Structure comprehensive index and Industrial Structure direction indicators had significant effect on employment.Third,industry value chain upgrading have positive effect on employment.As industry value chain processing,although thereis an alternative to the labor force,but also create new jobs.
