Analysis Of Chinese Tourist Satisfaction Of Dark Tourism Destination

The 19th National Congress of CPC pointed out:as entering a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,the major social contradiction of our society has been transformed into the contradiction between the growing needs of a better life and unbalanced development.From the perspective of tourism,the contradiction is specifically defined the growing needs of Chinese people and the unbalanced tourism development.Under the principles of chasing qualified tourism supply,universal participation of tourism,and maximization of tourism effect,the structural reform of tourism supply side should be accelerated to provide more extensive tourist destination types in China's tourism market and at the same time more efforts should be made to improve visitors satisfaction at tourist destinations to enhance the service quality of tourism supply.Dark tourism,as a rising tourism experience program,gets more attention from academics.To explore this topic,this research selects the site of Japan-Russia Prison Museum in Lvshun as case study,and hires quantitative research to find out the satisfaction of the public towards dark tourism programs and main influencing elements via both online and offline questionnaires.In the analysis of 300 results of valid questionnaires,researcher adopts IPA and other analysis to reflect the correct result.Through the IPA Analysis,it shows that generally,the site of Japan-Russia Prison museum in Lvshun gets high tourists satisfaction,the historical reference resources gets widely recognize of tourists,which offers competitive advantages to the museum.This advantage shall be improved and completed under a higher standard,and displayed with more diversified and interactive ways to raise tourists satisfaction to a higher level.However,in order to improve the general service quality,the professional knowledge level of working staff and staff behavior management should be paid with more concern.This research provides supports and reference in dark tourism programs management and development,as well as academic research in dark tourism.This research based on satisfaction of tourists whose travelling objectives are related to dark tourism would not only enrich the extent of academic resources of dark tourism,but also provide support and reference for the management of dark tourism destinations.However,due to the basis of this research is aiming at figuring out the humane and historical factors that could influence tourists behaviors towards dark tourism destinations,other factors which are likely to contribute to tourists' satisfaction on dark tourism destinations were not explored deeply.Therefore,further researches are expected to pay more attention to other dimensions,for instance,natural components.By doing so,academic researches linked with dark tourism and relevant tourists' satisfaction will be promoted,and more comprehensive conclusions are possible to be finished to serve this special tourism sector.
