This paper is a research on the influence of China's LED industry export on innovation input.This paper explores the topic by combining theory with research and empirical research.LED industry as one of strategic emerging industries,has the advantages of energy saving,no pollution,long service life,development prospects,but there are some problems need to be solved—industrial structure is not reasonable caused by outdated technology and competitive phenomenon.China's LED capacity concentrated the less profitable middle and downstream reaches,the upstream investment is insufficient.Adjust the industrial structure is a breakthrough of technical innovation,and technological innovation have inseparable relations with the market,including the domestic market and foreign market.Some scholars studied the influence of export on innovation in other industries or regions,and so lead to research topic of this article—Research on the influence of China's LED industry export on innovation input.The second chapter indicate the effects of export to innovation.The effects of export to innovation mainly include competition effect,scale economy effect and technology spillover effect,and the technology spillover effect is constructed by learn "export" theory and the industrial connection effect.All the effects support that Export can improve innovation input level.The third chapter is mainly point to the research object of this paper,the basic situation of China's LED industry,export,innovation and innovation input were analyzed..LED industry exports focus on LED lighting exports,with the exception of individual years LED lighting export growth almost year by year.Export market scope is very broad,including Europe and the United States has been the mainstream market.It highlights the low technology content of LED products,and enterprises in our country are in large part belong to OEM(original equipment manufacturer).But in recent years there have been some emerging market countries of LED export,such as the ASEAN(Association of Southeast Asian Nations),India,etc.At the same time,the investment in innovation is increasing,and the proportion of innovation input in each industry stage has reached a high level.From the growth characteristics of export and innovation,so preliminary predicted that there is a positive relationship between them,namely that the export of LED industry has the promotion effect on innovation input.The fourth chapter is the most important part of the paper,it's the empirical research part of the effect of China's LED industry export on innovation.This part selected 57 LED listed companies' micro data in China to do econometric analysis by using the simple model,and it can be divided into to aspects,one is the regression of effect of export scale on the innovation by using fixed effect panel,the other is the regression of effect of export proportion on innovation input proportion(Innovation input/revenue)by Tobit.Regression results of fixed effect panel shows that the LED industry export has significant positive influence on innovation input,verified hypothesis that export can promote innovation,also effectively support the theories of export promotion.Tobit regression results shows that,to the proportion of innovation input,export ratio had no significant effect on it,in the process of sustained growth of operating income,export quotas has little impact on innovation input growth.Enterprise scale and government subsidies also have significant influence on innovation input and it's proportion,because LED enterprise scale is still small,in this case,the role of Scale Economies Effect to reflect,and government support can increase enterprises' power of innovation input,making the innovation input and it's growth both increased rapidly.The capital structure has a significant effect in Tobit regression,indicating that the adjustment of capital structure is also a channel to promote the input proportion of innovation.According to the previous research,the fifth chapter puts forward relevant suggestions from the aspects of market expansion,government subsidy and innovation transformation efficiency.In the market,it is also important to focus on the domestic market while improving export competitiveness through technology.On the government subsidy,the government needs to innovate the means of subsidy from stages and forms;In terms of innovation and transformation efficiency,the talent protection mechanism should be established and improved,the input structure of innovative resources need to be optimized,and enterprises should focus on cooperation,reducing research and development costs and risks through joint ventures,absorbing technology spillovers,and optimize the industrial chain.This paper presents a new research perspective of LED industry,enriches the theoretical research in this field,and provides a new direction for research in similar industry innovation.Contact to the present situation and problems of the LED industry chain,the study can find a new breakthrough point for the LED industry chain optimization,and the research content and the result is helpful to the LED industry chain structure adjustment,at the same time provide micro reality basis for market policy.In addition,the development of LED industry will contribute to energy conservation and environmental protection.Subject to the availability of data,the empirical study of this paper only selects the data of LED listed companies,rather than sampling in the private and public companies randomly,leading the research results may be there is a deviation.So,expecting to have a more complete model and more precise dates as samples for more rigorous research.
