The reform in China has been into a critical period and a deep water area.People have more and more interest in issues like social stratification and income distribution unfairness.More and more news focused on "second generation" phenomenon such as the second rich generation, the second power generation, the second farmer generation and so on make such social phenomenon a hot spot.In some rural areas, more and more people believe that it is harder for a poor family to bring up an honorable son and that it's no use for farmers' descendants to be educated. The social class structure and intergenerational social mobility has been focused and discussed by more and more people. Is China being faced with a very terrible class solidification problem already? What is the current class structure in rural China? Is it less possible for a rural resident to achieve upward social mobility than before? What factors is now influencing intergenerational social mobility in rural China? All these questions need to be further discussed and answered. There are more and more reports focused on social injustice in the recent years. However, the academic circle seems to have less interest in social stratification and social mobility in current China since the research rush around 2,000.New research and data is needed to prove or disprove the phenomenon behind these individual cases been reported. On the basis of previous research regarding this issue from abroad and at home, this paper first draws lessons from some authority theories of relevant researchers and create a new class structure analysis framework that contains 6 occupational classes and a corresponding 3 occupational classes structure analysis framework, mainly based on the class analysis framework applied by Goldthorpe and the framework applied by Lu Xueyi, and considering the actual situation of rural residents. Then,by analyzing the large sample data from 5 provinces and 101 villages of China rural family follow-up survey, this paper draw a picture of occupational class structure in rural China and analyzes the general situation of intergenerational social mobility. This paper then analyzes the rural residents' intergenerational social mobility changing tendency inChina in detail and shows some useful information such as mobility direction, distance, features of different classes and so on.Finally, this paper comes to relevant conclusions on regional differences about intergenerational social mobility by making some comparative analysis on educational status change, occupational class structure, intergenerational mobility changing trend, etc.in different provinces. The results of empirical analysis shows that inborn factors such as the education level of farther still have obvious effect on intergenerational social mobility of residents in rural China while afterward factors have obvious effect, which means that on person can achieve upward mobility by struggle. It is more and more difficult for rural residents to achieve upward mobility, but there is always some way.Community factors have some influence on intergenerational social mobility and its effect mechanism needs more discussion. Finally, based on the fact of rural residents occupational class structure and the findings and analysis of this paper, this study puts forward some reasonable suggestions to promote upward social mobility of rural residents and make it possible for rural residents to have a more equitable, orderly and healthy mobility mechanism.
