Research On The Innovation Path Of Social Enterprise Business Model

A bunch of issues evolve as our society and economy develop,like the increasing economic inequality,global warming and climate change,environmental pollution etc.These social problems can not be simply solved by government and non-profit organizations due to the lack of capability.As a result,a triangulating failure phenomenon happens among government,market and volunteers.Thus social enterprises come to help.If social enterprises want survive and grow in this society where opportunities and challenges co-exist,they must realize that "the competition among enterprises today is not about products but the business model"[1].This article takes the path of social enterprise business model innovation as the research target.First of all,this paper analyzes the opportunities and dilemmas that affect the choice of domestic social enterprise innovation modes.Then studies the current situation for social enterprises business model innovation based on the research of existing social enterprises.Finally,a case study is done for a successful social enterprise CAN YOU Group using Osterwalder model.A detailed analysis is produced for CANYOU Group business model innovation path in terms of product and service interface,asset management interface,customer interface and finance interface.This paper argues that the business model innovation model is the re-combination of every factor or elements.According to the social enterprises in different stages of development,the driving force of business model innovation is different.Driven by the customer interface,business model's innovation of mature social enterprise motivates the change of product or service interface,asset management interface and financial interface,resulting in the collaboration of business model innovation.The process of business model innovation is a cyclical,continuous optimizational process.
