The Research On The Status Quo And Trend Of Residents' Income Gap Of Hainan Island

Considering that the principal contradiction facing Chinese society has changed to the contradiction between unbalanced and inadequate development and people's ever-growing needs for a better lifeaccording to the 19^thNational Congress of the Communist Party of China Report,the author study the status-quo and the trend of residents'income gap in Hainan which is the author's hometown.As for the status-quo of the residents'income gap in Hainan,the author demonstrated it from three aspects.First,the author collected the data from1987-2017 to describe the absolute and relative gap between urban residents and rural residents.Second,the urban-rural residents'income gap among 18 administrative districts in Hainan wasinterpreted.Third,the urban residents'income gap from 2005-2016 was measured based on Gini-coefficient.In terms of the reason behind the gap,the author analyzed them mainly based on theperspectives from theory of dualeconomy.In addition,the author also did empirical test for analyzing the reasons by the SPSS.Further,the author applied GM?1,1?to predict the income of urban and rural residents and the gap between them in 2018,2019 and2020.Finally,the author put forth targeted policy proposal for building a moderately well-off society in Hainan.
