It is difficult for workshops of multi-variety and small batch production line to manage and control because of a wide range of products,complicated production process,changeable production plan,serious backlog of WIP,which will inevitably cause unnecessary waste of time cost,human cost and logistics cost in the actual production process.However,the traditional mathematical analysis method is difficult to realize the optimization of the production process,the formulation of the scheduling plan,and the debugging of the new product.Therefore the system simulation technology is a new direction for the comprehensive management of the production system,with the advantages of time and cost.By using the system simulation technology,the potential problems in the production system can be found quickly,and the improvement scheme is put forward to solve these problems.The improvement scheme of the production system can be verified in the system simulation environment to realize the optimization of the production system,and the decision information is provided for the management practice of the production system.Based on the system simulation theory and multi-variety and small batch production methods,this paper aims at the key equipment utilization rate,production cycle,workers' working rate and product inventory to achieve the production workshop facilities layout optimization and job scheduling optimization,which results in shortening production cycle,increasing utilization of equipment and workers,and reducing inventory pressure of products in sweater production workshop of Jiangsu Jinlong Technology Co.Ltd.Firstly based on the analysis of the production process and logistics status of the production line,the input data of the production system model is abstracted by the collection and statistical analysis of the equipment parameters and product parameters.Based on these data,production system simulation model of single order was established by WITNESS.Through the analysis of the model running data,the bottleneck process of the production system is find out.Secondly,according to the specific problems in the production system,the optimization plan of the facility layout is put forward.By comparing the original production system with the optimized production system in the production cycle,the utilization rate of the equipment or workers and the inventory of the products,it is proved that the optimized scheme is feasible and effective.The model is debugged and validated repeatedly in order to obtain the optimal layout of the facilities.It can provide the scientific basis and data foundation for the adjustment of the production line.Finally,the optimization method and algorithm were given to solve the scheduling problem of the multi-variety and small batch production line.Based on these methods and algorithms,the initial scheme was obtained and input into the simulation model for experiment in order to get the production cycle of each scheme,which was compared to obtain the optimal scheduling plan of production system.It can provide decision-making basis for the formulation and implementation of production scheduling plan.
