The Relationship Between Economic Growth, Regional Income Disparity And Rural Poverty

Poverty eradication is the primary objective of economic development,China has been the world's most impoverished countries after the reform and opening up,with the rapid economic growth and the development of poverty alleviation,China's rural poverty rate has been greatly reduced,and achieved unprecedented poverty reduction achievements,is the leading cause of the world's poor rate greatly reduced.This paper enriches the relationship between economic growth,income distribution and rural poverty in Sichuan Province by taking Sichuan countryside as the research object.Secondly,through the research of economic growth,income distribution and rural poverty,it will be helpful for us to explore the economic growth way and income distribution way for the poor,to choose reasonable means of poverty alleviation,to alleviate rural poverty,to construct a harmonious society and to build a comprehensive well-off society.Economic growth,there is a complex relationship between income distribution and poverty,and the dynamic change of poverty is the result of the interaction between economic growth and income distribution,and the relationship between the three is helpful to understand the causes and trends of poverty,and to formulate reasonable economic development and pro-poor development policies.This paper first defines the basic concept of poverty,and the existing literature on the relationship between economic growth,income distribution and rural poverty were combed;then this paper introduces the rural poverty in Sichuan Province,mainly introduces the present situation and characteristics of rural poverty in Sichuan Province and the causes of rural poverty in Sichuan Province.And then through the relevant data of Sichuan Province,we carry out cointegration test and Granger causality test for economic growth,income distribution and rural poverty,then use the GQ model of Lorenz parameter to measure the rural poverty incidence,poverty distance,weightedpoverty distance and Gini coefficient in Sichuan province,Then,the effect of economic growth and income distribution on the incidence of rural poverty is decomposed by FGT exponential decomposition method.At the end of the article,we pass the results of the previous research and give the relevant policy recommendations.Through the empirical results,the main conclusions drawn in this paper are:Based on the data analysis of Sichuan Province,there is a long-term stable relationship between economic growth,income distribution and poverty,and economic growth has a great positive effect on the decline of poverty rate,while the inequality of income distribution has negative effects on the decline of poverty rate.The income inequality of rural residents is becoming more and more serious.Based on this,this paper gives the relevant policy suggestions: to maintain economic growth,increase the flow of surplus rural labor in poor areas,increase labor participation rate,redistribute the fruits of economic growth through the government's "visible hand",and increase the central government's transfer payments to some poor areas in Sichuan.
