With the increasing demand on vehicle quality from our domestic vehicle consumers,the main carmaker in China pays more and more attention to NVH(Noise,Vibration,and Harshness)performances of Vehicle.The comptition of vehicle performance is not just about the dimension or emission volumes only.It requires the excellent driving experiences on silence and comfortness as well.Project Management knowledge and theories are comprehensively applied to automotive component development process,The objective of this paper is to research the project quality management of automotive NVH components based on tools of APQP(Advanced Product Quality Planning)of PDCA circle with its relevant methods.The project organization structure and quality management system is also studied.From the perspective of APQP,product quality performance,timing requirements and deliverables are defined and assured during process.From the perspective of Project process control by gate review,deliverable status of each gate is clearly defined by Gate Review Methods,Based on SPC(Statistic Process Control)application,the product Weight out of spec of NVH component was assured for mass production.Based on the review on each gates and application of FMEA(Failure Mode Effects Analysis),the root cause of Total Ventilation of Ogannic(TVOC)out of spec was identified and corrected,which increased project quality performance.Based on the case study on researching the project quality management methods to the automotive component development,the project quality of vehicle NVH component can be effectively improved,which will progress consumer's driving comfort and car performance accordingly.
