Project Management Model Study On High Quality And High Speed Offshore Drilling

Project management as an effective management tool of large-scale projects in company and organization,is widely applied to all industries of life and plays an increasingly important role.High quality and high speed drilling as increasingly sophisticated drilling technology,more and more widely is applied to oilfield development.Offshore oil drilling industry is a high risk,high investment,professional,and involving a wide range of projects.So it is ripe that project management and high quality and high speed drilling technology are applied in the development of offshore oilfields.QK18-1 is a large offshore oil field which is developed by CNOOC independently.this author analyze the feasibility of project management new model,using the successful application of project management of high quality and high speed drilling in QK18-1 and the concepts of modern project management,such as management organization,WBS,critical chain optimization and control,and chain formation management.This mode is successful applied in QK18-1 oilfield,which reduces the drilling cycle and drilling risk greatly,save the cost of drilling,and improve the overall efficiency of oilfield development in the situation of decreasing of oil price and the development of oil slumped,meanwhile we hope to explore a successful and effective new project management model of offshore drilling development.
