German I Company's Key Success Factors Of PV Plants EPC Projects

Photovoltaic(PV)generation is a technique converting solar energy into electric energy by utilizing semiconductor materials' photovoltaic effect.In recent years,relying on the renewable energy policy support and subsidy,PV plants' increment and growth rate have become the world's first.China's PV plant capacity reached 43 million and 180 thousand kilowatts by 2015,is the largest PV installed capacity country in the world currently.EPC general contracting model is widely used in photovoltaic power projects.EPC(Engineering-Procurement-Construction)is a “turn-key” contract mode.The contractor implements the all-in package project construction at an agreed price.In this mode,the contractor is responsible for the quality,cost,safety and progress.As same as the traditional electric power project,EPC has been widely used in the photovoltaic power station projects.In this paper,a senior German PV EPC I company is set as the research target,and its management factors on the PV plants' EPC projects are analyzed to get the key success factors,mainly from two aspects: company management and project management.Through interviews,workshops,and reviews Company management factors are analyzed from the market survey positioning,business strategy,personnel management system,corporate culture,MIS,etc.In project management factors,the success factors are analyzed by stages.Then the success factors of I company are finally summed up.The purposes of this paper is to guide the domestic relevant companies on operations and management,help them to develop the core competence.The key success factors also could promote the level of the whole PV industry.
