At present,the cotton industry in our country is carrying out the cotton supply side structural reform,improving the quality of cotton,increasing the cotton output,increasing farmers' income and reducing the cost of cotton planting had become an inevitable trend in the development of cotton production.Cotton planting technology has become the main driving force of the sustainable development of cotton industry which is under high risk and high cost.China is a big country of production and consumption of cotton,the stable development of cotton industry is related to national plan and people's lives.Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps(XPCC)is important for China to improve the development of cotton industry because XPCC has a great influence and significance for the country's cotton safety.XPCC has a long history of cotton planting and its' cotton planting technology is the most advanced in China,within its cotton planting technical progress and demonstration effect,the diffusion effectiveness of advanced cotton planting technology is showing up.The Eighth Division is an important part of cotton planting area in XPCC,this research choose Shihezi Farm as an example,focusing on the effects of cotton planting technology on cotton production,can not only helps to summarize the successful high yield producing experience,but also provides an important reference for the future of cotton production and technology dissemination in Xinjiang.We choose the method of literature review,normative analysis and empirical analysis,with the example of the Shihezi Farm of the Eighth Division's,studying on its' variation of process scale and the application of cotton planting and cultivation techniques in order to analysis the promote function of cotton planting technology in the total output of cotton production in Shihezi Farm.The analysis start with two aspects of production input and output within the use in recent years total output and input data of cotton production in Shihezi Farm,analysis of the total output effectiveness of each input factors during the cotton production by using the K-D production function,especially the technology input and output efficiency,then use single factor linear equations of the degree study on the influence of each link calculation of total output cotton production process of output.Give an objective and realistic evaluation of the contribution rate cotton planting technology progress,then offer some advises to improve the integral level of cotton production in Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.The research results show that: the average annual growth rate of cotton production,agricultural infrastructure investment,the average annual growth rate of cotton labor with an average annual growth rate were 28.86%,36.24% and-3.83%,respectively,in Shihezi Farm during 1995-2016;with a contribution of 34.67% from agricultural infrastructure investment explains,-6.88% from labor input explains,72.21% from technical progress.Since 1995,the main driving force promoting the growth of the total cotton output in Shihezi Farm was the agricultural infrastructure investment and technological progress,the role of labor is relatively small,technological progress output contribution rate in Shihezi Farm since 1995 was the overall growth trend,rise from 67.98% in 1995-2001 to 71.70% in 2002-2007,and the technical contribution rate rose to 76.95% in 2008-2016.From the perspective of the contribution rate of planting technology on cotton output,Shihezi farm cotton production has entered the stage of intensive growth,and guide the continue to adhere to the "science and technology to develop the cotton industry" strategy,to enhance investment in planting technology and conduct professional skills training classes to improve farmer's cotton planting skills.
