In recent years,China's domestic electric power facilities construction tends to be saturated.In the face of increasingly shrinking domestic market and urgent situation,through serious research and analysis,the leadership of DC company made a decision to expand the business to overseas market under the guidance of "One Belt,One Road" initiative.However,overseas development way of Chinese companies is not easy to go.The international project does not only put forward high technical standards,but also require comprehensive engineering management ability of ECP contractor.As a state-owned enterprise going to the world for the first time,cultural conflicts bring in many difficulties to DC company in engineering management,which also make DC company suffer unprecedented project execution pressure from cultural conflicts.Based on international engineering case,this paper adopts the method of case study,along the thinking way of discovering problems,putting forward problems,analyzing problems and solving problems,combined with the experience and interview,referred to the relevant project information and collected the EPC electric power project administration true case of DC company in Country B.Through in-depth analyzing and dissecting of specific cases,this paper finds out the cause of international engineering project management problems,then starting from the root cause of the management problem,using project management theory,related knowledge and methods in combination with the practical situation of project,suit the remedy to the case,propose reasonable management advice and solutions.The international engineering management problem of DC company is also the problem many Chinese enterprises must face.If Chinese power construction enterprises want to get further development in the international market,they must integrate into the culture of the host countries,which means that Chinese enterprises will take solutions for cultural conflicts into every detail of the international project management,which is also the key for long-term development in the international market.These solutions are not only with both particularity and regional characteristics,but also accord with the practice of engineering management.I hope this paper can provide feasible suggestions and reference for China's electric power construction enterprises to expand their international market.
