Under the traditional mode of operation,commercial Banks concern more about the expansion of scale and the realization of book profit.Faced with the increasingly severe competition,commercial banks have to adjust their business objectives,and transform from the profits maximization to the banks' value maximization gradually so as to realize the sustainable development of commercial banks.EVA which is short for Economic Value Added,measures accurately whether the enterprise has created value for shareholders during a certain operation period.EVA-based performance appraisal system has been widely used in foreign countries,but it's introduced late by domestic enterprises,especially in commercial banks.D Bank is a local commercial bank.In 2016,after the new shareholder participated in the management,D Bank began to implement EVA performance appraisal system based on FTP(short for Funds Transfer Pricing).E branch is one of the branches of D Bank,its corporate banking business exposed so many problems which need to be improved pressingly in the EVA assessment.Firstly,this paper introduces the theory research progress on EVA at home and abroad;Secondly,it describes the concept of corporate banking and EVA in commercial bank;thirdly,it introduces the general situation of D,E and the application of EVA in E branch;then it analyzes the situation of corporate banking according to the bank of D,E business data in 2016 and find deficiency;Finally,combining the actual business situation of E branch,it offers some proposals for the corporate banking strategy adjustment under EVA assessment,it has a reference significance to other bank branches which is also practicing the EVA assessment.
