China's urbanization is an important way to transform the traditional dualistic economy to modern economy,increase farmers' income,solve the problem of "agriculture,rural areas and farmers",narrow the income gap between urban and rural areas,and break the dualistic structure of urban and rural areas;and it is the engine to realize the sustainable development of economy and the only one way to narrow the income inequality between urban and rural residents.According to statistics: in 2016,the urbanization rate of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is first home in China's Northwest,which marked Ningxia's urban and rural structure is change from country to town.While keeping pace with the development of urbanization,there are also negative effects,such as unbalanced development,the loss of farmers' identity.This paper takes the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region as the research scope,combined with the economic cultural type,sustainable livelihood framework theory,focus on the integration power and their connection with practice of farmers' human capital,natural capital,physical capital,financial capital,social capital and culture capital,to research the status,characteristics,the existence problems and reasons of farmers' livelihood.trying to find an effective way to innovation and development,to promote the effective integration of traditional and modern,to strengthen the ability of sustainable livelihoods and protect farmers' future cultivation.This paper is divided into six parts:The first chapter is introduction.Including the research background,significance,methods and innovations of the study,the relevant researches home and abroad,which provides the preparation for the writing.The second part is the theoretical basis of the research on the sustainable livelihoods of farmers.From the theoretical background,definition,framework and the applicability to introduce the research foundation of this paper.The third part is the general situation of research area and the basic situation of the investigation.The basic situation of urbanization in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,the reasons for choosing the region,the basic situation of the survey are explained.The fourth part is the evaluation of farmers' livelihood capital in the process of urbanization in Ningxia.Based on the survey data,this paper analyzes the level of livelihood capital of farmers in Ningxia,and finds out the existing problems and causes of the farmers' livelihood capital.The fifth part is the choice of sustainable livelihoods of farmers.This chapter lists the significance of the research,and puts forward some suggestions and strategies for the sustainable development of local farmers' livelihood.The last part is the conclusion and prospect.The conclusions obtained from this study are discussed and improved.It also summarizes the deficiencies and puts forward the direction of future efforts.
