As a tool and platform for enterprise technology innovation and management innovation.The Product Lifecycle Management(PLM)system can significantly improve R&D management ability and gain competitive advantage in continuous product innovation which is increasingly accepted by more and more enterprises in China.The main content of this paper is to study the design and implementation management of the PLM system of the “new three board” enterprise,which listed in Chengdu.As a result of the implementation of the national military-civilian integration strategy,U Company,as a aviation-military manufacturing enterprise,has ushered in rapid development in recent years,and because of the requirements of the listed enterprises,it has put forward higher requirements for the R&D management informatization system.The implementation of PLM system is imperative.This paper first analyze the problems and development direction of China's manufacturing,and reviews the development of PLM system,as well as the related theoretical knowledge involved such as Concurrent Engineering,Integrated Product Development,Agile Manufacturing.The second step is to analyze the situation of U Company,the political and economic environment,the technical environment of the industry,and the current problems of R&D management of U Company.The conclusion is that the macro environment is favorable to U company,but the R&D management of U company has bigger problems and difficulties,which restricte the further development of U company.In order to solve these problems,U Company needs to implement PLM system for R&D and Production-Management.The third step is that the author demonstrates the necessity and feasibility of implementing PLM system for small and medium-sized enterprises such as U Company in detail.whereafter the author started to design the PLM system.Include the demand analysis,objective analysis,project selection,interface design,management process design and so on.The fourth step is that the author analysed and studied the tactics,method,blueprint,safeguard measure of implementation management.Finally,the effect of PLM system running online for a period of time is evaluated and summarized,and some improvements are pointed out.PLM system is a huge system engineering,involving every employee in every department of the company.It is not only a matter of company top management and IT department,nor is it a project that is implemented once and for all.For U company,the on-line of PLM system is only the beginning,because the module is not perfect,the business process of R&D can not be completely adapted.After a period of time,the PLM system still needs to be upgraded and updated.PLM system is a combination of management theory and computer IT knowledge.It involves more management theories.It is hoped that this paper will be used as a reference for some enterprises which are about to implement PLM system in related industries.
