Not only a typical energy-intensive industry the iron and steel industry is,but also an absolutely pillar industry in China.Energy conservation in steel enterprise has always been one of the national energy strategy plan.In this paper,with the perspective of energy management,we stretch into the steel production process of iron and steel industry,focus on discussing the correlations between energy consumption and production process,and try to refine energy management grade.By analyzing the actual energy efficiency of the steelmaking process and sub-process from the root objectively,we help enterprises to be more elaborate in energy management and realize the final goal of energy saving and consumption reducing of the enterprise from the point of energy management.Firstly,we summarize the energy efficiency evaluation methods in iron and steel industry,analyze the problems which energy efficiency indicators reflect,pointe out the limitations and the scope of application of the existed various indicators.we integrate the advantages of various indicators of energy efficiency and extend to the internal procedure,and one kind of energy efficiency indicators system which is adaptable to the converter steelmaking production processes has been established in horizontal(index)and vertical(granularity)degrees.The horizontal index is divided into economic energy efficiency index and physical energy efficiency index,and the vertical index is divided into plant-level,activity level,station level,cell level and equipment level indicators.Secondly,for the problems on incomparability of energy efficiency indicators between the differences on equipment and energy structure in different enterprises,and the non-objective comparability of energy consumption of internal steel furnace production under different working conditions,we propose a comprehensive correction efficiency assessment method which is based on a large amount of historical data.By classifing the factors on affecting energy consumption,the method solves the influence factor values,builds the standard production conditions,calculates the energy consumption values of all kinds of energy affecting factors,integrates the differences of energy consumption caused by all objective factors,revises various energy consumption indicators and at last makes a comparative analysis.All the procedures of this method finally make the energy consumption indicators more objective and comparable under different production conditions.Take one sub-process of the converter steelmaking process as an example,we study the production and energy utilization of RH refining furnace with the history data of enterprises.The comprehensive correction evaluation method is adopted to analysis RH furnace energy consumption,and we compare the initial energy consumption by the correction results with the corrected.Combined with enterprises production information management system,manufacturing execution system and data collection system,we develop an energy efficiency assessment system of steelmaking process which supports online energy efficiency analysis for enterprises.This system effectively solves the enterprise energy management problems,and supports enterprises to manage energy online and assess energy efficiency,and provides beneficial methods and platforms for enterprises to dig out their energy saving potential to realize the energy conservation.The system has been applied to one steelmaking sub-plant of a special steel grade plant successfully for several months and achieves remarkable results.
