Oil and gas transportation pipeline monitoring has important practical significance to the oil and gas pipeline transportation safety.Leakage due to pipeline corrosion perforation,sudden natural disasters and man-made damage will affect the safety of the pipeline,and threaten the safe operation of the pipeline.The real-time monitoring of oil and gas pipeline transportation is on one of the most important indicators of various monitoring system.In this paper,in order to realize the real-time monitoring system and improve the accuracy and effectiveness of monitoring,wireless sensor network based oil and gas transportation pipeline monitoring technology is studied.Firstly,the classification and the characteristics of oil and gas transportation pipeline is analyzed and the damage types and damage form of the pipe and weld were studied,then the cause relation chain of the oil and gas transportation pipeline damage were established.Furthermore,the corresponding repairing methods was provided.Lastly,the traditional and novel technology for pipeline measurement were analyzed.Oil and gas transportation pipeline has formed a transportation network in China,but for a single transport,pipeline is shown on chain topology structure,therefore,chain topology structure of oil and gas transportation pipeline monitoring wireless sensor network was designed in this paper.Then the structure design and function design of the wireless sensor network of oil and gas transportation pipeline monitoring was done.In each sensor nodes distributed in the monitoring point of the oil and gas transportation pipeline,the temperature,pressure,flow and other data are acquired;the sink node is designed to connect wireless sensor network nodes and management nodes,and achieve real-time data collection,storage and handling.Sensor node design including the sensor hardware selection,software design,signal processing and low power design.The sink node of wireless sensor network and external network are connected by CC2530 RF module to exchange data.The management node is the information center system,including integrated database of oil and gas transportation pipeline monitoring information collection subsystem,communication subsystem,system,office automation system.A fast leak point positioning method based on the GPS information of reference sensor node,the negative pressure wave leak oil and gas pipeline transportation distance,position between the current node and the reference nodes,sensor nodes jump parameter and nodes distance are presented in this paper.The simulation result shows that the various wireless sensor network performance index could meet the requirements.Oil and gas transportation pipeline monitoring wireless sensor network visualization system is able to achieve the information acquisition,display,query,analysis of each node in the network,and could alarm if the leak occurs,by which strong support for oil and gas transportation pipeline monitoring is provided.
