Petroleum industry is a capital and technology intensive industry.And petroleum is one of the important strategic reserves of energy for every country.In recent years,the economy of China has developed fast.Especially industrial cluster development and upgrading is pushed on nationwide.With echo,the petroleum production of China is also continued rising.During the period of the '11th Five-Year',the economy of Guangxi province developed fast and people's living standards also continued improved.At the same time,the quantity of car increased year by year and the market demand of oil increased continuously.As the sale terminal of CNPC,Guangxi marketing company faces with many opportunities and challenges.To formulate development strategies for Petro China Guangxi Marketing Company,I used many theories of Strategy Management.I used these theories to analysis the inside and outside environment.I used PEST tool to analysis the macro environment that GXMP faced to and the'Five Forces model' to analysis industrial competition in Guangxi province.What's more,dynamic capability theory and strategic resource theory were used to analysis inside environment of the company and SWOT model was used to match the strategy and environment.At last,I thought that CNPC should take the center of diversification strategy.I raised the company's development goals and implement measures of strategies as the total strategy.GXMP should improve its organizational structure and salary system.It also should unite the assessment standard of performance and make new human resource strategy to fit its needs.Strengthening the ability of innovation and marketing was also very important for it.
