Research On Folk Hand-weaved Artistry In Shaanxi Province

Shaanxi hand-weaved artistry,as one of the Shaanxi Arts and Crafts,has significant status in the long development of folk arts.Among various folk hand-weaved artistries,the bamboo and palm plaiting is a traditional folk handicraft with long history and exquisite skills,and deeply roots in the soil of Shaanxi folk life.Most weaving products are used in daily life with fresh,plain and natural charm.The craftsmanship is still following full handmade skills and contains various traditional custom and folk cultures,reflects the simple aesthetic value and spiritual quality of native people and also has precious art values and natural connotation.This paper is based on plenty field investigations and literature studies and focuses on the folk bamboo and palm weaving skills which mainly distributes in Shaanxi area,concludes the folk hand-weaved system with Shaanxi regional characteristics on systematic organization of the large amount of documents,pictures,products and recordings collected in the process of research.The paper analyzes from five parts:Part 1: Study from the development history of the bamboo and palm wares in Shaanxi Province.Trace the origin of the development of folk bamboo and palm wares in Shaanxi Province,discuss the development contents in three phases including origin,inheritance and current distribution according to the historical order,comb its veining of historical development.Part 2: Study the cultural and artistic characteristics of the folk bamboo wares in Shaanxi.Make detailed studies on the bamboo wares of each area in three types,including producing,living and folk-custom goods,basing on the deep historical studies,analyze the characteristics of texture veins and styles of bamboo wares from the point of aesthetics of arts design,and systematically and orderly summarize the artistic characteristics of bamboo wares with regional culture of Shaanxi.Part 3: Study the cultural and artistic characteristics of the folk palm wares in Shaanxi.Firstly,divide it into two styles of palm leaf wares and palm skin wares according to the material characteristics,and analyze the characteristics of texture veins and styles of different material.Part 4: Study on hand knitting characteristics crafts of Shaanxi folk.Mainly research from the weaving skills and methods,do the textual research on weaving materials and tools,meanwhile,emphatically analyze the local weaving characteristics of bamboo and palm fiber in Shaanxi from the angle of knitting crafts and skills.Part 5: The practice exploration of design.Apply the design elements of bamboo and palm fiber weaving in Shaanxi folk to the practical exploration.Through the above in-depth researches from multi-angle and multi-level on folk hand knitting skills,aim at mining the unique cultural and artistic value of hand knitting in Shaanxi folk,then deeply excavate its value in Chinese Arts and Crafts.The mainly purpose of the article is to protect and inherit the hand knitting of Shaanxi folk.Also,deeply extend and expand the hand knitting skills of Shaanxi folk.
