Super-large gears are widely used in aviation,shipbuilding and other major projects,and play an important role in economic development and national defense security.Limited by technology,capital,talent and other factors,the measurement of large gear is still a lot of major problems need to be resolved,so the study of large gear measurement is of great significance for economic development and national security.This paper presents an super-large gear measurement method based on the following technology of tooth surface,and puts forward the design of the mechanical structure of tooth surface with a measuring device.The construction of standard involute gear model,evaluation of profile deviation and helix deviation and using this model is studied.In this paper,the research content mainly includes several aspects:1)This paper presents a method for measuring super-large gears based on the technology of tooth surface follower,expounds the constitution of the system and the principle of measurement,and provides the overall solution for the measurement of super-large gears.2)In this paper,the design scheme of the tooth surface following measuring device is presented,and its 3D model is constructed.3)Based on the principle of model measurement,the involute gear is modeled by geometric analysis method,and the model is simulated.4)A method for calculating the geometric center point of gear is proposed.On this account,the tooth profile deviation evaluation model is constructed.5)The calculation method of the gear axis is put forward,which provides the basis for the evaluation of the helix deviation.And the model of helix deviation evaluation is constructed.6)Measurements were performed on a spur gear and a helical gear using the three coordinate measuring machine.And then the two gears were measured with the gear measurement center.By comparing and analyzing the measured results of the two methods,the reliability and accuracy of the profile deviation and helix deviation evaluation model are verified.
