Slurry pump is widely used in grinding classification.However,serious wear of wearing parts,short service life and high operating current of slurry pump result in frequent failure and high maintenance rate.In this research,the erosion wear mechanism of the wearing part of the slurry pump was studied,and then the principles of material selection and structure optimization of the wearing part of the slurry pump are proposed.In this study,a statistical analysis of the service life and wear of the wearing parts,which were used in certain gold concentrator,was carried out firstly.The average service life of the wearing parts was statistically analyzed,and the main failure modes of the wearing parts of the slurry pump were analyzed.The main wear parts of different wearing parts and the main wear stage and the main mechanism of the wearing parts were analyzed.In this study found that,according to the wear failure morphology can be divided into pits,trunking,penetration,arc groove and the loss of shape.According to different wearing parts which produce wear failure,it can be divided into impeller wear failure,front guard wear failure,sheath wear failure,rear guard wear failure,decompression cap wear failure and auxiliary impeller wear failure.According to different stages of erosion wear,the wear of wearing parts can be divided into initial wear stage,normal wear stage and failure wear stage.The flow field of the flow field of the slurry pump was modeled and simulated by Fluent simulation software.Flow area pressure and flow velocity were analyzed for three easy-to-wear parts of wearing parts.The comparison between the simulation results and the worn-out part of wearing parts were carried out.The influence of flow characteristics on cavitation is analyzed emphatically.Through the analysis of the pressure and velocity in the simulation results,it is found that in the areas with obvious cavitation,the pressure cloud often shows negative pressure or pressure gradient(pressure change)in this area.The micro-cutting effect of fine solid particles is obvious Site,its mixed fluid flow rate than the surrounding area.Six kinds of slurry pump wearing parts materials commonly used erosion experiment,the erosion rate and erosion of the surface morphology analysis.The impact of erosion on the wear of different wearing parts materials were mainly studied.Through the erosion rate analysis,high chromium alloy cast iron,silicon carbide ceramics,vulcanized rubber relatively erosion-resistant,HT200,Q345,PP relatively impatient erosion.Through the analysis of erosion surface topography,the erosion removal mechanism of metal materials(high chromium alloy cast iron),rubber(vulcanized rubber)and plastic(PP)is mainly micro-cutting abrasive particles;while the hard and brittle silicon carbide material The intergranular fracture of the material caused by the main grain spalling.Based on the analysis of the failure mechanism of the wearing parts of the slurry pump,the principle of material optimization of the wearing parts and the optimization principle of the wearing parts are bring forward.The metal materials,cavitation wear is the main failure mechanism;for rubber materials,erosion wear is the main failure mechanism;silicon nitride materials are both cavitation-resistant and erosion-resistant,but brittle fracture damage can lead to over-current Accidental failure of pieces.Therefore,the preferred principle of wearing parts are proposed:silicon nitride material is preferred when the solid-phase particles are less than or equal to 1 mm in the liquid-solid mixed fluid;when the relatively large particles appear occasionally in the liquid-solid mixed fluid,the vulcanized rubber or Polyurethane materials;also can choose different materials with the use of,such as the rubber overcurrent pieces and ceramic flow pieces used in conjunction.In this study,the materials of wearing parts have been optimized,and structures of wearing parts have been partially optimized.Through the practical application in a certain gold concentrator,good application effect has been achieved..
