Safety hazards is considered to be the root cause of the frequent occurrence of safety accidents in construction projects.Hazards can be detected in advance before they cause safety accidents,through safety inspection,so as to reduce the loss of property and casualties.The current safety inspection practices are prone to omission,and ignore the relationships between hazards.Moreover,most of the current researches use secondary or subjective data,and the accuracy of the research results is still to be verified.In order to solve the limitations above,first of all,two electromechanical installation companies were selected as the case,and the network model was built based on more than 70,000 safety inspection records.Then,we calculated many indexes.Finally,the simulation experiment of vulnerability analysis was carried out.The results show that:(1)although the connections between safety hazard are relatively sparse,there are a large number of indirect connections between safety hazards.Moreover,the path of the mutual influence between hazards is not unique.In the hazard path,some hazards will increase the severity of the accident.(2)In the individual level of hazard,the unsafe behaviors caused by the failure of design and unsafe behavior caused by bad decision making are the key safety hazards in the construction project.The study also found that there are a few hazards and connections between hazards play an important role in the network.So control these key hazards and connection can effectively improve the safety level of the project.(3)It is necessary to assessment hazards from the perspective of network,because the assessment method according to consequences severity and probability miss part of the hazards which plays an important role in the hazards transfer.(4)There are two kinds of measures for the rectification of safety hazards-rectification hazard itself and cutting hazard connections.From the perspective of the transmission performance of the network,the rectification hazards according to the betweenness of hazards is the better method.All of these results are got based on the empirical data analysis.The results reveal the relationships between hazards and identify critical safety hazards of the construction project,and compare ability of damaging the network transitivity of different safety inspection strategies.These results not only can help identify key safety hazards accurately in construction engineering practice,but also can help the security inspection personnel to choice effective strategies.What's more the research provides an analytical paradigm to help the researchers to conduct safety hazard research basing on the empirical data.
