Research On Efficiency Of Utilization Of Coal Resources In Jiangxi Province

Mineral resources are important material base for human survival and social development.It can be said that the exploration and development of mineral resources have made a great contribution to the economic and social development of Jiangxi Province,and mining is one of the basic pillar industries of national economy.Although there are large quantities of mineral resources here,the energy mineral resources are slightly fewer.As of 2012,only the reserves of coal and stone coal resource had been indentified,listed in the "Mineral Resource Reserve of Jiangxi Province".And oil shale,oil and gas,coalbed methane and shale gas had not yet been proved to be valuable in industry.In Jiangxi's energy consumption structure,coal consumption accounts for 76% of the total energy consumption.Therefore,coal is an important energy mineral in Jiangxi Province.Energy consumption can not be separated from coal.In important that the output growth of coal in Jiangxi Province has fallen behind the growth rate of energy consumption.The self-sufficiency rate of raw coal is only 46%.Jiangxi Province has gradually become a major coal-lack province from a major coal-producing province in southern China.Based on the theory of sustainable development and the concept of green development,this paper systematically studies the utilization efficiency of coal resources in Jiangxi Province.Based on the comprehensive utilization of many disciplines such as statistics,mineral resources and economics,this paper analyzes the evolving law and development trend of the utilization efficiency of coal resources in Jiangxi Province through literature method and empirical research,and then studies the main factors which influence the utilization efficiency of coal resources in Jiangxi Province proposing solutions.It is not only of great importance to the sustainable development in Jiangxi Province,but also provides reference value for the other parts of China to solve the problems of the utilization efficiency of coal resources.According to the requirements of index selection,this paper selects the appropriate indicators to build an indicator system of the utilization efficiency of coal resources in Jiangxi Province.The introduction of undesirable output makes the index system more comprehensive.After verifying the relevance of the index system,the final indicator system in this paper includes two major parts,input and output.On this basis,I use the DEA-super model to calculate the utilization efficiency of coal resources in Jiangxi Province from 2004 to 2015 and of all cities in Jiangxi Province in 2014.The result is compared with the result of the calculation of the undesirable output.Finally,Tobit regression model is used to calculate the factors affecting the utilization efficiency of coal resources in Jiangxi Province.Based on the empirical results,the last part of the article gives suggestions on improving the utilization efficiency of coal resources in Jiangxi.
