The gear transmission parts as the key foundation in the aerospace industryand the machinery and equipment manufacturing industry, its accuratemeasurement, to ensure the quality of the transmission has a n important role inimproving the core competitiveness of China’s industrial products.Therefore,precise measurement and evaluation of the gear has a very important significance.Based on polar coordinates, measurement method is more suitable for themeasurement of the large gear compared to the normal polar coordinatemeasurement method.The thesis based on polar coordinate measurement principle, established thepolar coordinate measurement involute cylindrical gear tooth measurement modeland error compensation model on CNC Gear Measuring Center, and finallyfinished involute cylindrical gear measurement assessment study based on polarcoordinate measurement method.Firstly, this thesis described polar coordinate measurement technologyresearch for domestic and foreign scholars and development status.,and analysedthe lack of the normal polar coordinate method for the measurement of largegear.Based on involute, this thesis established involute cylindrical gear profilemeasurement mathematical model based on the measurement principle of thepolar coordinate method on CNC Gear Measuring Center. Determined calculationmethod for the starting point and fina l point of the tooth profile,and analysedmotion errors and installation of the eccentric error for measurement process,andachieved the error compensation mode.Research and analysis of measurementprinciple of computer numerical control gear measuring center, design gearmeasuring workflow. This thesis used VC++programming language, exploitedmeasurement and assessment software of Gear Measuring Center. Finally, according to the national standard gear deviation of the definition,and test specifications, this thesis finished measurement experiment andassessment of profile and pitch. The experimental results with the standdardresults, compared to the measurement error is less than the maximum allowableerror2μm, and to verify the feasibility of the polar coordinate measurementmethod.
