On Environmental Crisis And Governance Since European Industrialization

In the process of European industrialization,the industrial revolutions were undoubtedly the most important periods of industrial development.The United Kingdom,which had taken the lead in the industrial revolution,became the leader in industrial development at that time and became an advanced industrialized country in a short time,followed by the second and third times.During the industrial revolution,other European countries also embarked on the path of industrialization.The process of industrialization has brought about earth-shaking changes for the entire European economy.Its influence has enabled European countries to become world-class countries quickly.Even now,the industrialization of Europe is still taking a leading position in the world.However,along with the economic prosperity brought about by European industrialization and the improvement of people's living standards,there are also many problems,among which the environmental crisis is one of the major problems caused by the development of industrialization.China is currently facing with the same problem.Although China has made tremendous achievements in its modernization process,the environmental crisis has become increasingly serious.Air pollution,water pollution,and garbage disposal problems need to be resolved urgently.These environmental problems are becoming important factors that restrict economic development.In this thesis,the European environmental crisis will be outlined based on the time of the three industrial revolutions and the time period of the occurrence of environmental crisis.Then the causes of the environmental crisis in Europe will be summarized and analyzed,and the governance measures in several important European countries will be sorted out and elaborated in details from the aspects of legislation,public environmental awareness,and science and technology.At the same time,the current environmental crisis that China is facing with,the revelation that European countries' environmental crisis governance methods and the proposals for China's environmental crisis governance will also be summarized in this thesis.Passive "tail governance" must be adhered to the scientific concept of development and the new road to industrialization,which will truly benefit our future generations.
