There are two kinds of process for producing polyvinyl chloride by large-scale industrialization.They are calcium carbide acetylene process and petroleum ethylene process respectively.However,the quality of vinyl chloride monomer(VCM)is the main reason for the quality of PVC resin products.However,there are some differences in the quality of polyvinyl chloride resin products.The main difference between the monomer is the water content;oil ethylene monomer monomer water content can generally be controlled at 100PPm below,calcium carbide monomer monomer water content is as high as 500?1600PPm.In this paper,VCM monomer is used as the object,and the dehydration technology used in chlor-alkali industry is summarized systematically.The idea of deepening dehydration of fixed bed molecular sieves is put forward by using natural gas and ethylene dehydration in industrial production.By means of experimental method,the desorption capacity and effect of activated carbon,activated alumina;silica gel and molecular sieve were investigated.The adsorbent type of vinyl chloride dehydrate was optimized as the molecular sieve.The modification method and technology of molecular sieve were established.The dehydration and drying techniques of three kinds of modified molecular sieves and two kinds of fixed adsorbents were studied.The deep dehydration performance of the modified molecular sieves was tested on the established small test device.The best molecular sieve species and the matching and the optimal dehydration conditions were designed.The adsorption characteristics were studied,and the adsorption model of isobaric micro temperature change was established.The multi-tower continuous operation and automatic control of the pilot plant were designed.The results showed that the vinyl chloride monomer was in the experiment.Under the conditions of the study,a target with a water content of less than 130 ppm can be achieved.
