As the key equipment in the solid-liquid fluid pipeline system,the slurry pump is mostly used to transport the slurry with abrasion and corrosion.Wear and corrosion are common problems of the flow parts in service process.These problems directly led to many problems,such as short service life and poor reliability of the slurry pump.on one hand,this paper studies the wear mechanism and distribution of the impeller.on the other hand,this paper formulate a ceramic coating repair scheme based on surface engineering technology.Finally,through the performance study of the ceramic coating test piece to verify the feasibility of the ceramic coating protect and repair impeller.Study the wear rule of the impeller based on the DPM model by FLUENT.The results show us: the wear area is mainly distributed at the inlet and outlet of the impeller.Among them,the wear of the blade is the most serious,which mainly concentrated in the outlet area of the pressure surface and the inlet area of the suction surface;In addition,the wear of the rear cover plate is also serious,which mainly concentrated in the area near the guide cone;On the front cover plate,there is a small amount of wear but not serious.Different diameter and mass flow of the solid particles will have different effects on the wear distribution of the impeller.With the increase of the particle diameter and mass flow,the wear rate increase is very significant.The wear area of the blade extends from the tail of the suction surface to the middle,and the wear area of rear cover plate also showing a same expansion trend.According to the impeller selection,working condition and wear rules,the corresponding protection and repair plan for the new and the old impeller are made.The performance characterization of the AT13 ceramic coating was characterized by SEM scanning electron microscope,XRD diffraction instrument,pencil hardness scratch tester and wear test bench.The results show us that the overall quality of AT13ceramic-coating is smooth without obvious defects and it can completely cover the test surface.Its porosity is about 1.25%,surface hardness can reach 6H.In the sameconditions,the wear loss of substrates was 23.7mg but AT13 ceramic-coating loss only5.1mg.In short,AT13 ceramic coating meets the requirements of protection and repair of the impeller wear problem.
