The Research And Practice On Development Of The School-based Teaching Materials Of Environmental Education In Local High Schools

Environmental protection should be based on education,with resources saving and environmental protection as its core.During the crucial stage,the school's environmental education that might greatly affect the environmental awareness of students is the starting point of the harmonious development between human and nature.Anyuan county is located at the headwaters of the Dongjiang River and it has a positive impact on the ecologic economy construction plan to protect the local environment.According to the investigation for the students of Anyuan No.2 Middle School,a set of school-based teaching materials of environmental education was developed on the basis of their thoughts and local conditions.As a result,this paper provides an overview of the issues and discusses many of the challenges and opportunities related to protecting environment under alternative philosophies.The first part of this paper describes the relevant definition and the development situation of the school-based teaching materials of environmental education and then introduces research methods,innovation and research significance of this paper(Chapter 1).Included Chapter 2 are the investigation plans,study results and development suggestions and methods for developing school-based teaching materials in Anyuan county.We then turn our attention to developing programs,development principles and how to use the teaching materials(Chapter 3).Chapter 4 describes the theme of Clear as Dongjiangyuan;looming fragrant as navel orange,a developed school-based teaching materials on environmental education in Anyuan No.2 Middle School.The main contents of the teaching materials include teaching objectives,frameworks and components and its characteristics and primary contents have also been described in its Introduction.As a research results of school-based teaching materials on environmental education,the main contents of Clear as Dongjiangyuan;looming fragrant as navel orange include environmental problem and sustainable development(Part 1),resource utilization and protection(Part 2)and ecological industry in Anyuan county(Part 3)on the basis of the above four chapters and school situation.It is applicable to the environmental education in Anyuan No.2 middle school.This research explores the programs,principles and usage of the school-based teaching materials on environmental education,has established a good development system on local environmental education and provides the theoretical support for developing the school-based teaching materials on environmental education.Writing local school-based teaching materials on environmental education is an enormous systematic work,involving education,psychology and basic data.Although the teaching materials contains the inadequacies of the inevitable,we hope that readers of this paper will find it both a useful tool as well as a valuable reference in their future careers in developing school-based teaching materials on local environmental education.
