With the rapid development of the industrial economy,the problem of global resource shortage and environmental degradation is becoming more and more serious.The recycling and reuse of waste products has been paid much attention by the governments of all countries.Thus remanufacturing has a great significance for saving resources and realizing sustainable development,which uses advanced technology to achieve the performance of the waste material reach or exceed the new product.Under the support of relevant national policies,enterprises continue to conquer key technologies of remanufacturing and then automobile engine remanufacturing industry has made certain progress.However,the problem of imbalance between supply and demand due to the uncertainty of the recycling of waste products and the demand for remanufactured products in the engine remanufacturing closed-loop supply chain(RCLSC)is obvious,which brings a new challenge to the optimization of RCLSC.Therefore,it is quite important to study the RCLSC in the analysis of remanufacturing process and consumers,which will help enterprises to make scientific and reasonable production planning and to improve the customer service level at the terminal of the supply chain.Based on the analysis of practical operation of RCLSC for truck engine and combined with the related literature and theory at home and abroad,this paper selected system dynamics method to simulate the RCLSC of Chinese heavy truck and to discuss the influence of the uncertainty of remanufacturing process and consumer demand on the RCLSC.Firstly,we analyzed the factors influencing the uncertainty of consumer demand,namely,the base number of used products which is estimated by the existing heavy truck ownership and the average damage rate of the engine,and user decision-making which is affected by the consumers' personal preference and external factors.On the basis of that the demand model of remanufacturing engine is constructed extending the BASS model and the parameters of the model were estimated.Then,the system dynamics model of the RCLSC of heavy truck engine is established,including six sub modules of consumer demand,4S Centers,Center Station,Remanufacturing Plant,recycling and remanufacturing process and cost model.Next,the simulation environment of the model and the initial value of the auxiliary variable in the model are set up.Finally we analyzes the impacts of remanufacturing ratio,external influence coefficient,internal influence coefficient,consumer waiting ratio and remanufacturing engine price on the production planning of the remanufacturing plant and the customer service level of 4S Centers.The results showed that the inventory of recovered products cannot be supplemented only through the “replace the remanufactured products with the old” method.The remanufacturing ratio,as the only one variable influencing remanufacturing in this model,has a more significant impact on the production planning of the remanufacturing plant than that of the factors related to consumer demand.Moreover,it is wise for remanufacturer not to increase the price of the remanufactured products,at least to remanufactured engines.
