Mountain torrent disaster is a kind of flood hazard in the hilly regions caused by heavy rain[1]which can lead to debris flow and landslide and then take its toll on national economy as well as people's life and property.Mountain torrent disasters happens frequently in our country,with the increasing of people's degree of recognition,our nation has invested a lot of manpower and funds to carry out the investigation and assessment of flood disasters of over 200000 key villages along the river.There exist 105 counties?districts?in which carried out the investigation and evaluation work.Establishing a sound early warning index system can effectively prevent the occurrence of Mountain torrent disaster,and then improve the safety level of people's life and property.According to the characteristics of Shanxi Province,this paper conduct a study on the early warning index of the Jiang River upstream basin controlled by Beizhangdian hydrological station.The collection of data is based on the consideration of the landform,the shape of the river,slope,effective antecedent rainfall and so on.The comprehensive warning indicators of the river basin controlled by Beizhangdian hydrological station are finally determined.Taking the calculation of early warning index as the main line,this paper simulates the river basin controlled by Beizhangdian using the hyperbolic tangent runoff model,Nash instantaneous unit hydrograph runoff model and MIKE 11 HD/NAM model,then selecting the combination discriminant formula to estimate the influence on the occurrence of mountain torrent disaster caused by prophase rainfall.The early warning indicators were calculated by these three methods and the result computed by the former two methods are examined.The study of 3D visualization of regional flood process is conducted by ArcGIS and the 3D visualization browsing is realized.The results show that the hyperbolic tangent runoff model and Nash instantaneous unit hydrograph concentration model and MIKE 11 HD/NAM model can accurately simulate the object region and are promising on the simulation of the runoff production and confluence as well as the calculation of early warning indicators.The study of combination discriminant formula carries on the result that precipitation of 5d and the very day have significant influence on the occurrence of mountain torrent disaster in this area.Finally,the3D visualization browsing is realized based on ArcGIS.This paper provides some technical support and reference for the study on the prevention and control of mountain torrents.
