Assessment And Management Of China's And Chinese Typical Regional Energy Security Based On Factor Analysis Method

Energy is the foundation and guarantee for regional economic and social development.Because of the scarcity of fossil fuel and environmental problems,energy security has caused more and more attention.China is the largest energy producer and energy consumer in the world.Though the total energy of China is abundant,per capita possession is low.In recent years,China's energy consumption continues to increase,and the demand for energy gap becomes larger.The main energy consumption structure is coal,and the proportion of renewable energy is low.Jiangsu Province is one of the most economically developed province in southeast coastal areas.Energy resources of Jiangsu mainly depends on overseas imports and transferred from outside province.Coal of Guangdong Province rntirely depends on transferrd from outside,and its oil and gas production is stable.The number of nuclear power plants of Guangdong Province is the largest in China.Hebei Province is rich in resources,but energy consumption is over-reliance on coal.And Hebei Province has serious environment pollution problems.In the view of energy security,this research constructed energy safety evaluation index system to evaluate the energy security of China during 2000-2014 and Jiangsu Province Guangdong Province Hebei Province during 2000-2013.Factor analysis was employed to get the final score of energy security.Combined with regional energy situation,strategies to improve energy security were provided and research results would offer experiences for these areas.Theories and methods about energy security were summarized and discussed.Energy security evaluation index system was set up on this basis.Some suggestions were provided after getting the composite score.The results were showed as follows:(1)China's energy security situation:Major factors of China's energy security are energy supply factor and environmental factor.In recent years,China's energy security kept a downward trend and were affected by various factors.(2)Although energy security of Hebei Province kept a good trend,energy situation is not optimistic.Energy structure is too simple and the secondary industry account get large proportion.Energy factor kept an upward trend.(3)Energy security of Jiangsu Province kept an upward trend.Energy structure continued to improve.Energy factor and environmental factor kept a downward trend.Quality requirement for energy was increasing.(4)Energy security of Guangdong Province kept an upward trend.Energy supply factor kept an upward trend.And environmental factor kept a downward trend.(5)China's overall energy security situation mainly affected by the energy supply factor and environmental factor.Energy supply was the key to energy security.But the impact of environmental factor could not be ignored.It has to combine economy and environment to promote coordinated development.
