A Study On The Drivers Of Carbon Emissions In Beijing And The Policy Of Emission Reduction

The issue of climate change in twenty-first Century has become a great challenge for human development,which is closely related to the use of energy and emissions by human beings.China is at the stage of rapid economic development,with huge energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions,and its energy saving and emission reduction issues have attracted much attention.Capital Beijing is a super large central city in China.As China’s political,cultural and educational center,its economy is developing rapidly,energy demand is strong,and its historical emissions are serious.It is famous for its frequent haze,its carbon emission characteristics have a certain particularity,which has become the focus of energy conservation,emission reduction and low-carbon sustainable development,which is a common concern of the academia and the government.How to guarantee the reduction of carbon emissions without affecting the development of the economy has become an important issue in the process of economic transformation in Beijing.In order to accomplish this task,we must find out the driving factors of carbon emission in Beijing and formulate the policy of emission reduction.Therefore,this paper chooses Beijing as the research object,and carries out systematic research on the driving factors and emission reduction policies of its carbon emissions,in order to return a more beautiful blue sky in Beijing.The study of this paper,which discusses the research background,significance,relevant research at home and abroad,theoretical foundation part.It mainly introduces the theory of low carbon economy,the theory of sustainable development,the environmental Kuznets curve and the decoupling development theory,which provides a theoretical basis for the later research;The third chapter analyzes the current situation of carbon emissions and energy consumption in Beijing.the fourth part analyzes the driving factors of Beijing’s carbon emissions.It mainly studies the general situation and contribution distribution of driving factors,the classification of driving factors and the influence of driving factors on carbon emission reduction;the fifth part puts forward the optimization suggestions for the implementation of carbon emission reduction policyin Beijing,from the aspects of energy intensity effect,structure effect,activity intensity effect and scale effect,respectively;The sixth chapter summarizes the contents of the full text and looks forward to the future.
