In the end of 2015,the Shirengou iron ore project completed a project to improve the production of 100,000 tons of ferrofine powder.After the renovation,the process appeared all kinds of deficiencies,so it was urgent to optimize the existing process and update some equipment to improve the final target.Flow sheet investigation and practical problems were considered to make scientific and reasonable processing.Iron ore properties were studied.It was shown that the ore is simple with low content of sulfur and phosphorus element.Crushing pre-selection system was researched.Dry preconcentration was adopted by comparing the product of wet pre-concentration and dry preconcentration.The feed grade can improve from 28% to 30% with little magnetic iron loss,The tailings grade is 7%,and the magnetic iron content in the tailings is 0.3%.Optimization of magnetic separation system was done,By optimizing the experimental research,The third magnetic separation was canceled and ore concentration of fine sieve decreased to 52%.The shortage of processing power of magnetic separator is solved.The grade of tailing reduced to 4.3%.The type and application of fine sieving slice were tested.The experimental data shows that polyurethane is better than stainless steel with high screening efficiency and long life span.Tailings conveying system was studied by transforming the discharge methods of thickener.Reducing the current mine diameter of the mine to increase the amount of lower ore in the unit time,doubling the processing power of the thickening machine,enhance the transport concentration to 45% with low water to use.The economic analysis was done and the comprehensive benefits is 12128 thousand yuan.It could be seen that significant economic benefits were got and more smooth work flow was obtained through the optimization technological process.The use ratio of the first and second grind-mill was enhanced obviously with proper magnetic separation concentration.Screening efficiency and screen production rate were remarkably improved with high metal recovery rate.All of these are in favor of the plant process.
