Analysis Of The Agricultural Non-point Source Pollution And The Farmers' Willingness To Pay In Songjiang Town

Farmers are direct stakeholders of agricultural non-point source pollution.If the agricultural non-point source pollution is out of control,it would cause not only soil and water pollution,but also affects human health.The control of agricultural non-point source pollution not only relays on the policy of the government,the involvement of the farmers is also critical.The aim of this study was to investigate the present situation of agricultural non-point source pollution,and study the relationship between the farmers' behavior and willingness to pay for the agricultural non-point source.Based on the statistical analysis on household survey data,the results showed that: willingness to pay for the agricultural non-point source pollution are mainly influenced by the farmers' satisfaction degree to environment,the education level of farm householders,the income of the family,and the age of the farm-holders,but was not affected by the population of the family.Meanwhile,most of the farm-holders are willing to pay 5.18 yuan per year for the agricultural non-point source pollution,and the total amount of the willingness to pay is 196840 yuan.
