BE 295B-III shovel has been used for more than a decade and original electric control equipment always keep going wrong,especially it is difficult to purchase the GTO with long purchasing cycle?So it is imperative for electrical equipment modification?I have made a study of original control principle for the shovel and obtained large amounts of date,then used control system that takes the S7-300 PLC as the core with HMI and frequency transformer?Firstly I have analyzed the excavator process and done new design for the shovel?Then PLC?MCC?S120 and HMI was described respectively?Defining interface data based on the electric control device with PLC,I formulated the corresponding communication protocol.Next the hardware of control system?schematic for PLC and frequency transformer were done with power distribution system described?Then I have done a study on Shovel control logic,especially in hoisting system based on double closed-loop vector control with speed and current and achieved the goal for short-term hover?Finally I introduced the design of control software implementation in detail and completed the software programming and HMI frames?The whole system was convenient on the installation and run credibly with friendly frames,made good service in field production.
